Mark Noble: 'It's time for West Ham United to knuckle down'

Midfielder Mark Noble calls on West Ham United's first-team squad to "knuckle down" in order to try to move the club away from the Premier League relegation zone.

Midfielder Mark Noble has backed West Ham United to do enough in order to remain in the Premier League for at least another 12 months.

West Ham currently sit in 14th place in the standings - three points above the relegation zone - but David Moyes's side have picked up just five points from their last half-a-dozen fixtures.

Noble has acknowledged that it is time for the first-team squad to "knuckle down", but feels that the East London outfit are capable of putting together a run of positive results.

The 30-year-old told the club's official website: "They are all big games now and we just need to knuckle down and get the results we need to get ourselves out of trouble come the end of the season. I don't think we will wilt because we're at home, which is a big plus for us at the minute, because we're playing well at London Stadium.

"We need to get points, it's as simple as that. Do I think we'll be fine? Yes, because I think we've got enough here and we will pick up results.

"For us now, the season is to get safe and then to rebuild in the summer and start again from next season."

The Hammers are next in action when they host Burnley at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
