Slaven Bilic happy to settle for point

Slaven Bilic says that he is happy with a point after seeing his side come from 2-0 down to draw with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has insisted that he is happy to have taken a point from the Stadium of Light despite his side having half an hour to find a winner against 10 men.

Goals from Carl Jenkinson and Dimitri Payet brought the Hammers back from 2-0 down to 2-2 against Sunderland on Saturday, with Jeremain Lens being dismissed for a second yellow card in between the two strikes.

Bilic said that he would not have been happy with a single point yesterday after his side won their first three away league games of the season at the Emirates, Anfield and the Etihad, but said that after his team's poor start, a draw was perhaps a fair result.

"If you had asked me yesterday would I take a point, I would never say I would take a point," he told reporters. "We want three but we knew that it would be a hard game.

"Emotions are mixed, a point is a point, especially when we were 2-0 down, but if we look at the last 20 minutes I am disappointed that we did not capitalise on it. But we are not greedy. It is a good point for us."

The draw saw West Ham slip to fifth in the Premier League table but extend their unbeaten run to five games in the league.
