West Ham United forward Enner Valencia has insisted that the club must get 2015 off to a positive start by beating West Bromwich Albion.
The Hammers, who have lost their last two games, welcome the managerless Baggies to Upton Park on New Year's Day.
Having seen their campaign suffer a setback during the past week, Valencia is keen for West Ham to get back to winning ways as soon as possible.
"We've suffered two painful losses recently and we've dropped down the table slightly," he told the club's official website. "We know the game against West Brom is a very important one and we'll do our best to get the three points. We want to get 2015 started on the right foot and have a good rest of the season."
Valencia has scored three goals in 17 appearances for West Ham so far this season.
