West Ham United made it three wins on the bounce to move up to third in the Premier League table this afternoon, beating Swansea City 3-1 at Upton Park.

Wilfried Bony had given the visitors the lead, but an Andy Carroll brace and Diafra Sakho strike clinched the points for the Hammers, while Swansea had Lukasz Fabianski sent off.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at who impressed in London.

WEST HAM

Goal

Adrian: Could do nothing about Bony's goal, nor when the striker hit the crossbar. Had very little else to do all game, though. (6/10)

Defence

Carl Jenkinson: Was found wanting with the opening goal, but made up for that with a good performance going forward. Picked up the assist for West Ham's first but limped off clutching the back of his leg with 15 minutes to go. (7/10)

James Tomkins: Caught out a couple of times by Bony, but by and large kept the striker relatively quiet. Made a few important late blocks to help his side hold on in the closing stages too. (6/10)

Winston Reid: Much like Tomkins, was undone by the class of Bony on a couple of occasions but overall put in a solid performance at the back. (6/10)

Aaron Cresswell: Always a willing runner forward, and gave West Ham a good outlet on the left throughout. Another impressive display from the summer signing. (7/10)

Midfield

Alex Song: Returned after almost a month out and tired a little towards the end, but protected his defence well and kept things ticking over in midfield. (7/10)

Cheikhou Kouyate: Put himself about in midfield and ensured that Swansea couldn't dominate in that area. (6/10)

Kevin Nolan: Threatened a couple of times in the first half, putting himself in his usual position inside the six-yard box from set pieces. Didn't have a huge influence on the game all told, though. (6/10)

Stewart Downing: Struggled to impose himself on the game from open play, but did pick up the assist for the second goal as his corner was nodded in by Carroll. (7/10)

Attack

Enner Valencia: Had a couple of sighters in the first half but failed to make an impact before he was taken off at half time. (5/10)

Andy Carroll: The difference between the two sides. He took both of his headers brilliantly and added an assist for the third as well. Didn't always get the better of the Swansea defenders, but made their job very difficult and ultimately put in a match-winning performance. (9/10)

Substitutes

Diafra Sakho: Capped off the scoring with an emphatic finish late on having been introduced at half time. Should have got at least one more goal too, but he could only hit the post twice. (7/10)

Joey O'Brien: Came on for Jenkinson with just over 10 minutes remaining and put in a decent shift as the Hammers protected their lead. (6/10)

James Collins: Replaced Kouyate late on and helped his side see out the victory. (6/10)

SWANSEA

Goal

Lukasz Fabianski: Could do nothing about Carroll's two fine headers before he was harshly sent off for impeding Sakho moments after Swansea had fallen behind. (5/10)

Defence

Angel Rangel: Solid performance at the back, keeping tabs on Downing and limiting the winger's influence on the match. (6/10)

Kyle Bartley: Had a difficult afternoon trying to deal with the aerial threat of Carroll and didn't fare much better on the ground when he lost out to Sakho in the build-up to the third goal. (5/10)

Ashley Williams: Also struggled to contain Carroll and was nowhere to be seen when the striker scored his two headers. (5/10)

Ashley Richards: Not quite as tough an afternoon as those suffered by Williams and Bartley, but did fail to stop Jenkinson's cross that led to West Ham's equaliser. (6/10)

Midfield

Leon Britton: Kept the ball well in midfield during a typically tidy display, but failed to get back on the line in time to prevent Carroll's second. (6/10)

Ki Sung-yueng: Could not build on his goal against Queens Park Rangers, offering very little going forward. Did give his back four some decent protection, though. (6/10)

Wayne Routledge: Fairly anonymous throughout as he too failed to build on his goal against QPR. Barely troubled the West Ham goal at all. (5/10)

Gylfi Sigurdsson: Didn't get many chances to pull the strings as he so often has for Swansea this season, but looked dangerous when the chance came his way. Had a big say in his side's goal, sliding his pass to Montero in the build-up. (6/10)

Jefferson Montero: Picked up the assist for the Bony goal, cutting the ball back for the striker inside the box. Struggled to do much else, however, as his influence on the game waned with time. (6/10)

Attack

Wilfried Bony: Took his goal beautifully and almost added a second with a rocket of an effort that clipped the crossbar on its way over. His side's brightest spark. (7/10)

Substitutes

Gerhard Tremmel: Got an unexpected appearance following Fabianski's red card and made a good save to deny Sakho, but could do nothing about West Ham's third. (6/10)

Bafetimbi Gomis: Replaced Montero with 15 minutes remaining but could not get the goal Swansea needed to haul their way back into the match. (6/10)

Nathan Dyer: Came on with four minutes of normal time left and couldn't make an impact during his short cameo. (6/10)
