West Ham United have fallen to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of German second division side Dynamo Dresden in a pre-season match this evening.
The home side made the better start to the match, buoyed by their so-far unbeaten pre-season campaign.
They took a big step towards protecting that unbeaten record, which includes a draw with Manchester City, when Robert Koch put them ahead after 21 minutes.
The Hammers continued to struggle in the opposition's half as the Dresden defence resisted any threat that came their way to take a 1-0 lead into half time.
This lead was doubled six minutes after the interval as Hasan Pepic reacted quickest to a loose ball in the penalty area to fire his shot home.
The result was put beyond doubt in the final ten minutes when Turkish defender Cuneyt Koz completed his side's 3-0 victory.
