West Ham United chairman David Gold has laughed off reports suggesting that the club won't offer manager Sam Allardyce a new deal.
Despite the Hammers currently sitting in fourth place in the Premier League table, a report on Wednesday morning claimed that Allardyce could be in danger of losing his job at the end of the season.
However, in response to a question on Twitter, Gold has insisted that the story is "pure speculation".
Allardyce's position at Upton Park reportedly came under threat during the summer due to his style of football, but 28 points from 16 games have resulted in West Ham sitting above the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool in the standings.
