West Ham United are reportedly only willing to offer Samir Nasri a short-term deal that runs from January until the end of the season.
The former Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder is currently training with the Hammers ahead of a free transfer to the London Stadium in early 2019.
Nasri, whose 18-month ban for breaching World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) rules expires on New Year's Day, has been told to prove his fitness by boss Manuel Pellegrini.
According to The Mirror, however, the best the Frenchman can hope for is a six-month contract, which will be worth £80,000 a week in wages.
The report also indicates that Nasri has been told to lose another five kilos if he is to be ready to make an immediate impact from January 1, having arrived badly out of shape earlier this month.
