West Ham United midfielder Dimitri Payet has said that former club Marseille have an "interesting new project" after recently being taken over by new owners.
It has been claimed that Payet's future at the London Stadium is up in the air given the Hammers' struggles this season, and the French international has failed to dampen speculation regarding a possible exit by reiterating his affection for Marseille, who he left in 2015.
The 29-year-old told SFR Sport: "I am not closing the door to anything. Marseille have a new project which seems interesting.
"Aside from that, we are obviously waiting to see the first few things that the new owners do, but Marseille knows how attached I am to the club. When I talk about it, I say the best possible things, because that is what I think, so why not."
Payet netted 15 goals in 78 appearances for Marseille during a two-year spell with the Ligue 1 outfit.
