West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho has reportedly edged closer to completing an £8m move to Rennes.
The 28-year-old, who has not made a single Premier League start for the Hammers this term, is believed to be seeking a return to French football.
Earlier this month, the Hammers rejected a bid from the Ligue 1 side, with manager David Moyes maintaining that he does not want to sell any of his strikers mid-season.
According to HITC, however, Sakho is currently undergoing a medical at Rennes ahead of an initial loan switch with an option to buy outright in the summer.
The Senegal international has made 71 appearances for West Ham since his 2014 move from French side Metz, scoring 24 goals in the process.
