Newcastle United have reportedly come to an agreement with Southampton over a £40m deal for defender Tino Livramento.
The 20-year-old's future has been the subject of much speculation this summer, with the full-back widely expected to leave the Saints following their relegation to the Championship.
Newcastle are always believed to have been at the head of the queue for the former Chelsea youngster, and according to BBC Sport, the Magpies have now agreed a deal with Southampton.
The report claims that Eddie Howe's side are set to pay £40m including add-ons for Livramento, who has made 34 appearances for Southampton since his arrival from Chelsea.
The England Under-21s international was restricted to just two appearances during the 2022-23 campaign, though, due to a long-term knee problem.
Meanwhile, according to The Express, free agent Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has held talks with Besiktas over a move to the Turkish giants this summer.
The experienced midfielder left Liverpool when his contract expired at the end of June.
A number of clubs have been linked with a move, but Besiktas are thought to be at the head of the queue, with the Turkish team's president Ahmet Nur Cebi meeting Oxlade-Chamberlain in London on Wednesday.
The report claims that preliminary talks were held last month, and Besiktas are willing to make the Englishman their highest-paid player in order to entice him to the club.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is also being linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, made 146 appearances for Liverpool during a six-year spell, including 103 Premier League outings.
Elsewhere, Bournemouth have allegedly reignited their interest in Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott.
The 19-year-old is thought to be on the radar of a number of Premier League clubs, with Wolverhampton Wanderers believed to have failed with an offer for him earlier this summer.
Talk of a switch to the Cherries has cooled in recent days, but according to the Daily Mail, the club have now re-entered into talks with Bristol City.
The report claims that Andoni Iraola's side are prepared to pay £25m for the midfielder, who has featured on 91 occasions for his current team in all competitions.
West Ham United and Inter Milan have also been credited with an interest in a player who has another two years left to run on his contract at Bristol City. body check tags ::
