West Ham United have reportedly identified Hertha Berlin winger Salomon Kalou as a potential signing before the end of the January transfer window.
Kalou made his name in the Premier League between 2006 and 2012, contributing 60 goals from 263 appearance for Chelsea in all competitions.
While the Ivorian has netted at a similar strike-rate for Hertha, the 34-year-old now finds himself out of favour at the Bundesliga outfit.
According to Kicker, the veteran has requested an exit in the coming days, a development which is said to have led to interest from West Ham.
The Hammers are looking to bring in competition for Sebastien Haller as they bid to move clear of the Premier League relegation zone.
After Wednesday night's 2-0 defeat to leaders Liverpool, West Ham sit in 17th position in the standings, only above the bottom three on goal difference.
