West Ham United are reportedly eyeing a deal for Lyon defender and soon-to-be free agent Marcelo.
The 33-year-old has been a regular for Lyon during their impressive start to the 2020-21 campaign, and Marcelo was part of the Gones team who reached the Champions League semi-finals last year.
However, the Brazilian centre-back only has six months left to run on his current deal at the Groupama Stadium and does not appear to be close to penning an extension.
As a result, The Sun claims that West Ham could be Marcelo's next destination, with the Hammers hoping to land him on a free after having a £20m bid knocked back last summer.
The report claims that Marcelo's situation is being monitored by a number of sides across the globe, but the experienced defender wants to move to the Premier League as West Ham look to begin negotiations in January.
Marcelo has scored five goals in 141 appearances for Lyon since arriving from Besiktas in 2017, and the veteran played the full 90 minutes in Les Gones' 1-0 victory at Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.
