Hull City forward Jarrod Bowen is reportedly keen on a move to Newcastle United despite widespread reports that he is on the verge of completing a deal to join West Ham United.
Bowen has emerged as one of the Championship's most-coveted players this season, having scored 16 goals for mid-table Hull throughout the campaign so far.
Reports have suggested that the 23-year-old is on the brink of joining West Ham in a deadline-day deal worth in excess of £20m, although talks are understood to have stalled over personal terms.
The Newcastle Chronicle reports that Bowen would favour a move to Newcastle, but that the Magpies have no plans to hijack the bid before tonight's 11pm transfer deadline.
Newcastle have been linked with a new striker this month as a result of Joelinton's lack of goals so far this season, but Steve Bruce insisted earlier today that he is happy with his forward options despite missing out on Olivier Giroud.
West Ham are therefore still considered the frontrunners to sign Bowen on deadline day, although there has been a lack of progress in talks since this morning.
