West Ham United have terminated Jack Wilshere's contract by mutual consent on transfer deadline day.
The 28-year-old joined the Hammers on a free transfer in 2018 and had one year of that deal still remaining.
However, he has once again seen his career blighted by injuries since moving to the London Stadium, failing to make a Premier League start for the club since August 2019.
Wilshere has been limited to only 19 West Ham appearances across all competitions, and now the Londoners have cancelled his contract by mutual consent.
The former Arsenal man is understood to have been earning around £100,000 per week at the London Stadium, with West Ham keen to trim their wage bill ahead of any late deals before the 11pm transfer deadline.
Wilshere had made one EFL Cup appearance for West Ham this season.
