West Ham United are reportedly considering meeting the release clause of Celta Vigo forward Maxi Gomez.
The Hammers are well stocked for options in the final third, but interest in Marko Arnautovic from the Chinese Super League has led to the club contemplating their options going forward.
Arnautovic - as it stands - will remain at the London Stadium until the summer, but it appears that the East London outfit are looking for a replacement.
According to The Telegraph, West Ham may be prepared to pay the £43.3m release clause of Gomez before the end of the month.
The 22-year-old is regarded as the long-term replacement for Luis Suarez with Uruguay, and West Ham could potentially use the funds generated from any Arnautovic sale to invest in Gomez.
The South American has contributed nine goals and five assists from 18 La Liga outings during the current campaign.
