West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing Everton defender Michael Keane in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Hammers are currently in a difficult situation at the back due to Issa Diop, Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna all being injured, while Craig Dawson was sent off in their recent 1-0 loss against Chelsea.

As a result, David Moyes is reportedly hoping to strengthen his defensive options ahead of next season, in order to provide more cover and competition to that area of his squad.

According to the Daily Star, Keane is somebody that the club are looking at should Everton end up being relegated from the Premier League at the end of this campaign.

The 29-year-old does have a history working with Moyes as they were at Manchester United during the same time, and the Hammers boss is a fan of the central defender.

The Toffees are currently 18th in the table, two points behind Burnley with six games left to play for Frank Lampard's men.
