West Ham United are reportedly eyeing a summer move for Bordeaux striker Josh Maja.
The 21-year-old scored 16 times in 30 appearances for Sunderland in the first half of the 2018-19 campaign before joining Bordeaux in the latter stages of the 2019 January transfer window.
Maja has impressed during his time in France, finding the back of the net on nine occasions in 31 appearances, including eight goals in 24 appearances during the 2019-20 campaign.
The centre-forward has a contract with Les Girondins until the summer of 2023, but according to The Sun, he is eyeing a return to England during this summer's transfer window.
The report claims that West Ham, in addition to Crystal Palace, are closely watching developments with the view to potentially submitting an offer in the region of £10m.
Sunderland were forced into selling Maja for a cut-price fee last year as the London-born attacker had entered the final six months of his contract at the Stadium of Light.
