West Ham United have allegedly edged away from pushing through a deal for Samir Nasri.
Reports have suggested that the Hammers hold an interest in Nasri, who is available on a free transfer with his doping ban due to end at the end of 2018.
The East London outfit are said to be ready to put Nasri through a medical ahead of a potential reunion with Manuel Pellegrini, with the pair having worked with each other at Manchester City.
However, according to The Mirror, West Ham have not been left encouraged by the playmaker's current fitness levels and there are doubts over whether Nasri will be available to play in January.
The West Ham board allowed Pellegrini to spend heavily during the summer, and there are said to be concerns over handing Nasri a contract as the Frenchman bids to make his playing return.
Nasri has not featured for any club since representing Turkish side Antalyaspor last year.
