West Ham United are reportedly plotting a move for Ghana centre-back John Mensah.
The 29-year-old is currently a free agent after being released by Lyon earlier this summer.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is keen to bolster his defensive options and he is hopeful of bringing Mensah to Upton Park as soon as possible, according to the Daily Star.
Mensah spent the last two seasons on loan at Sunderland, where he made 34 Premier League appearances.
He has been capped 78 times at senior international level, scoring three goals.
