New Wigan Athletic boss Gary Caldwell has praised his side's win over Brighton & Hove Albion as the club kept their survival hopes alive in the Championship.
Tim Chow put the Latics ahead on his debut in the first half, only for them to be pegged back by a strike from Dale Stephens early in the second.
However, James Perch scored in the 81st minute to hand Wigan a win that keeps their bleak hopes of retaining their Championship status alive.
"All we can do is win our games, and I've said that since day one," Caldwell told Sky Sports News. "That's all we can do.
"This was a big win, because it was the first at home for so long, and to get this will be great for confidence.
"We'll focus on next week against Wolves, train well and make sure we're ready for that challenge."
Wigan are five points adrift of 21st-placed Rotherham United with two matches remaining this season.
