Wigan Athletic midfielder David Jones has claimed that he is fit and ready for the new campaign following an inconsistent first season with the Latics.
The 27-year-old, who moved to the DW Stadium last year, spent the majority of the North West side's campaign on the sidelines with a host of injuries.
"New environments sometimes take a bit of time to settle into, but from the start I knew I'd be happy here and getting games under my belt made it so," Jones told the club's official website.
"The manager (Roberto Martinez) played me in a couple of different positions during the course of the campaign, but I picked up one or two injuries more than I would have preferred which meant I struggled a little towards the end of the season.
"However, that's gone now, the break has helped me to recover and I'm feeling fit and healthy once again ready for the new season."
Before making the switch to Wigan, Jones spent three years at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
