Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has described his side's performance as "perfect" after their 1-1 draw at home to Chelsea.
Jordi Gomez's 88th minute goal earned the Latics a share of the spoils after Daniel Sturridge's opener.
"Today the performance was perfect," Martinez told ESPN. "Now we are starting to have a real understanding of each other and each other's strengths and we have been working hard on the training ground.
"Losing eight games on the trot is a real test but the players overcame that, they are more mature and they were superb tactically."
Despite the point, Wigan remain 18th in the Premier League table.
