Anti-discriminatory organisation Kick It Out have revealed that they are willing to help under-fire Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan.
The Latics chairman made anti-Semitic comments last week while defending the appointment of controversial character Malky Mackay as his new manager, and Kick It Out called on the Football Association to investigate the 77-year-old.
Whelan quickly apologised and now Kick It Out have said that they are ready to help educate the Wigan chairman.
"Age is no excuse. But people say things that are of a different age," Kick It Out chairman Lord Ouseley told BBC Radio 5Live.
"The problem is that we have to help people come to terms with modern expectations we have of the way people should conduct themselves."
Whelan has said that he will quit as chairman if the FA punish him.
