Jermaine Pennant has insisted that the Wigan Athletic players will keep fighting until Championship safety is mathematically impossible.
The Latics are currently seven points adrift of 21st-placed Rotherham United ahead of a crucial trip to relegation rivals Millwall on Tuesday evening.
Pennant insists that with four games left to play, it is not all over yet for Gary Caldwell's side.
"We're still in there fighting and, until we're mathematically relegated, we're in with a chance," he told Wigan Today.
"We'll keep going until it's over. But at the moment it's not. We're still in it."
Caldwell guided Wigan to a 2-2 draw with Fulham in his first match as manager on Saturday.
