Wigan Athletic have completed the signing of centre-back Ivan Ramis from Real Mallorca for an undisclosed fee.
The 27-year-old had been linked with West Ham United after Mallorca claimed that a deal had been agreed for the player, but he has now decided to join The Latics on a three-year deal.
Ramis, who becomes manager Roberto Martinez's second signing of the summer following Fraser Fyvie's arrival, could face former club Mallorca when the two sides meet in a pre-season friendly on Sunday.
Ramis made his debut for Mallorca in 2004, making 103 league appearances for the club since then.
