Wigan Athletic have reportedly rejected a third bid from Queens Park Rangers for James Perch.
The future of Perch has been in doubt since the Latics were relegated to League One, and QPR quickly emerged as leading contenders for his signature as they target an automatic return to the Premier League.
According to the Wigan Evening Post, the club were quick to reject another approach from QPR and they are expected to hold out for a fee close to £700,000, which is what they paid to bring him to the DW Stadium from Newcastle United in 2013.
Wigan have already lost key duo James McClean and Scott Carson this season, but it remains unclear whether the battle to keep Perch will continue after QPR failed to agree a fee once again.
Perch has missed just nine league games in his two seasons with Wigan.
