Wigan Athletic defender Ronnie Stam has admitted that he is keen to return to his native Holland in the summer.
The 27-year-old has not featured in the Wigan starting lineup since the end of February.
Having seen a move to PSV Eindhoven fall through last season, Stam has revealed that he is hoping the Dutch club will reignite their interest over the coming weeks.
"Last summer PSV tried to sign me on loan. They don't do that if I don't want to go," Stam told Voetbal International.
"At that time Wigan didn't cooperate, [which is] too bad. But I still think the same about it.
"PSV is a beautiful club, but there are more great clubs. But it would be a great solution for my situation at Wigan."
Stam joined Wigan in 2010 from FC Twente.
