Wigan Athletic could reportedly move for Ghana international Emmanuel Baffour within the next week.
The 23-year-old striker currently plays for New Edubiase United in his home nation, but had looked likely to complete a move to Turkish side Antalyspor.
However, Wigan are also keen to make a move, with the player's representative admitting that there is interest.
"A number of clubs are still keen on him, but the deal in Turkey is close. They know the situation, but they will have to act quickly," Chris Nathaniel told Sky Sports News.
Baffour has scored 21 league goals this season.
