Wigan Athletic manager Owen Coyle has offered Bursaspor around £400,000 for ex-England international goalkeeper Scott Carson, according to the Daily Mail.
Coyle has been tracking Carson for the past few weeks but made a concrete offer yesterday after learning that Ali Al-Habsi will miss the start of the campaign with a hip problem.
Crystal Palace have also been linked with the former Three Lions keeper, who started 29 games for the Turkish top-flight outfit last season.
Bursaspor are reportedly willing to accept a suitable offer for the 27-year-old, with the former West Bromwich Albion number one looking for a return to England.
Carson has played for a host of Premier League clubs including Liverpool, Charlton Athletic and Aston Villa, while also earning four international caps.
