Simon Church claims a hat-trick as Reading hit AFC Wimbledon for seven during a pre-season friendly.

Simon Church scored a hat-trick as Reading began their pre-season campaign with a 7-0 victory away at AFC Wimbledon this afternoon.

Striker Adam Le Fondre gave the Royals at 2-0 lead at the break with both his side's goals, including one from the penalty spot.

His replacement, Church, found the net three times in 12 minutes to put the game well out the reach of the League Two hosts after the break.

Jordan Obita and Michail Antonio scored the other two goals for the visitors.
