On-loan Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong will miss the remainder of the season with a damaged cruciate ligament in his right knee.
As a result, the 20-year-old will now return to Arsenal where he will begin his recovery.
"Everyone at Wolves would like to thank the midfielder for his efforts whilst at the club and join Arsenal in wishing him a swift recovery," read a statement on the club's official website.
Frimpong, who suffered the same injury to his left in 2010, made five appearances during his stint at Molineux.
