Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Carl Ikeme has insisted that his side must "dig in" to ensure that they don't lose touch at the top of the League One table.
Wolves are currently in third position after eight wins from 10 games, but Ikeme believes that the Molineux outfit will be required to fight to maintain their promotion push during the winter months.
The 27-year-old told the Express & Star: "We're heading into the tough period now going into winter and a hard couple of months with some cold nights, and when some of the pitches might not be the best away from home.
"It's going to be time to dig in, and push on to try to keep this sort of average going to keep us in there.
"I think that the next couple of months will sort out what different teams will be fighting for, especially with Saturday-Tuesday games like we've got when we come back at the weekend."
Ikeme has featured in all 10 of his side's league matches this season.
