Robbie Keane: "We dominated the game"

Robbie Keane claims that his side were the better team in the second half against Wolves.

On-loan Aston Villa striker Robbie Keane has praised his side's second-half performance against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux this afternoon.

Keane, who scored twice for the visitors on his return to his former club, admitted that the Villans dropped off after taking the lead in the first half. However, the Irishman insisted that Alex McLeish's men were the better side after the break.

"We kept the ball on the ground and they couldn't cope with us at times," he told Sky Sports News. "After 15 minutes, we got the goal and you could see the drop off. Certainly, Wolves were the better team for the first half.

"We had a good chat at half time and said we'd go out and do the same as we did in the first 15 minutes of the game and make them work for it. I think, in the end, that's why we got the result.

"Full credit to the lads. We held on until half time and then in the second half we dominated the game until the end. We limited them to no chances, really."

Aston Villa will travel to the Emirates Stadium next weekend to face Arsenal in the FA Cup.
