Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has ruled out qualification for the Europa League as an ambition.
The Midlands side moved to second place in the Premier League yesterday after sealing a 2-0 home win over Martin Jol's Fulham to maintain a 100% record.
McCarthy believes that the Cottagers, who have been playing in the Europa League since the end of June, were disadvantaged after their latest European game three days prior.
"I think Fulham were at a definite disadvantage having played on Thursday night," McCarthy said. "I can't imagine... it will be a long time before I want to get into the Europa League."
He joked: "If we look like getting in through the Fair Play League, I'm going to tackle somebody!"
Meanwhile, Jol said he is "happy" that Fulham are in the competition but conceded that it would be "almost impossible" to replicate their success in the 2009/10 season and make the final.
