Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo says that Benik Afobe has to adapt if the striker is to fit into the Wolves squad this season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo has said that Benik Afobe has to adapt if the striker is to fit into the Wolves squad this season.

Afobe, who moved to Bournemouth from the West Midlands club for £10m two years ago, rejoined Wolves on loan until the end of the season last month.

Nuno, however, has revealed that the forward will have to work hard if he is to feature in the team's Premier League promotion push this term.

"Benik can give us good things based on the characteristics he has," the manager told the Express & Star. "He's not the one that's going to solve our problems – he has to adapt.

"It's about his contribution inside the team, that's what we expect, as soon as possible to adapt to the way we play and bring his talent, his speed, his power, his quality and his goals, all these things.

"He can brings things to help the squad and the team. He's one more option. I know the fans already know him - I think he's coming back home so things are easy for him to adapt. He already knows the club."

Wolves are 11 points clear at the top of the Championship table ahead of a crunch clash with Sheffield United on Saturday.
