Ray Wilkins is reportedly in line to become Terry Connor's assistant at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Ray Wilkins has reportedly been lined up as Terry Connor's assistant at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Connor was appointed as manager for the remainder of the season on Friday after Mick McCarthy was sacked earlier this month.

Wilkins, who is currently working as a television pundit, could soon find himself on the touchline at Molineux, according to The Mirror.

The 55-year-old's last coaching job ended just over a year ago when he was dismissed as Carlo Ancelotti's assistant at Chelsea.
