Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers have lodged an appeal with the Football Association against the red card that Christophe Berra was handed at the weekend.
The Scottish defender was given his marching orders for tugging back Watford striker Troy Deeney, despite the fact that the striker carried on through at goal and got his shot away.
Speaking after the match, Wolves manager Stale Solbakken hinted that the club were considering challenging the verdict by describing the decision as "very harsh".
Should the FA uphold the dismissal, Berra will miss his team's next three matches.
