Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Raul Jimenez could reportedly miss the beginning of next season should he be called up to the Mexico squad for the 2020 Olympics.
The 28-year-old achieved Olympic glory with the Mexico team back in 2012 as they defeated Brazil 2-1 in the final, during which he was an under-23 player.
With teams allowed three players over the age of 23 for the tournament, Jimenez is keen to fulfil his dream of winning a second Olympic gold medal.
Speaking to ESPN Mexico, Jimenez said: "It's a dream that I'd like to fulfil again and I'd be one of the team's reinforcement men. First I have to wait and then, if there's a call, talk to the club."
The striker has been in stellar form for Nuno Espirito Santo's side this season, registering 21 goals in all competitions as Wolves sit eighth in the Premier League table.
