Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett has hinted that Danny Graham's one-month loan move to the club could be extended.
The 29-year-old signed with the Championship club until December 31 after finding first-team opportunities hard to come by at Sunderland.
Jackett believes that Graham could have a chance to find regular football at Molineux, should he hit the ground running like previous strikers who have dropped down a division, such as Glenn Murray at Reading and Grant Holt and Wigan Athletic and Huddersfield Town.
He told reporters: "Every loan is with a view to a longer term. We've seen Grant Holt and Glenn Murray come into the division and do very well.
"They're 33 and 31 so he has some years on them. Us giving him this opportunity I think will kick-start his career."
Graham spent the latter half of last season on loan at Middlesbrough and netted six goals in 17 appearances.
