Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett has revealed that the club are yet to reach an agreement with Brighton & Hove Albion for the transfer of Stephen Ward.
The Republic of Ireland international impressed during a loan spell with Brighton last season as his parent club were securing a return to the Championship, and Jackett confirmed that there has been contact from the playoff semi-finalists.
"Nothing has been agreed so there's enough of a distance for a deal not to have been done yet," the Wolves boss told the Express & Star. "But at least there has been some contact. They've expressed an interest through the summer.
"Stephen had a good year last season and I'm sure he'll be looking to build on it. He's said publicly he'd like to stay at Brighton. I'll see him next week and talk to him."
Jackett revealed recently that Tongo Doumbia is also likely to leave this summer.
