Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced that midfielder Luke Cundle has penned a new long-term contract.

Last month, the academy graduate impressed on his first Premier League start against Tottenham Hotspur, helping Wolves record a 2-0 victory in North London.

While the 19-year-old has not featured since, the prospect is highly-regarded at Molineux, and he has been rewarded with a deal which will last until 2026.

Speaking to the club's official website, Cundle said: "I'm delighted to get it signed. I've been at Wolves a long time now and I've got nothing but good things to say about the club. I've enjoyed myself throughout all the age groups. Now, I've got to keep working hard and hopefully it'll continue.

"You don't think too far ahead when you're coming through, when you're younger, you take it year by year, but the first team has always been my dream and to be in the Premier League. Hopefully now I can kick on and get better."

Cundle has made a total of five senior outings for Wolves, the other four appearances coming from the substitutes' bench.
