Queens Park Rangers are reportedly on the brink of signing Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Dion Sanderson on loan until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old spent the first half of the campaign at Birmingham City, making a total of 15 appearances in the Championship, but he was recalled by Wolves earlier this month.
While Sanderson was required to act as cover for injuries and Africa Cup of Nations commitments, the emergence of Toti Gomes has resulted in the academy graduate not receiving any game time.
That means that the versatile Englishman is eligible to go back out on loan, and The Athletic says that QPR are close to finalising a deal with Wolves.
The report claims that Sanderson's preference is to move to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium to aid QPR's promotion bid.
Sheffield United, another club who fulfil Wolves' criteria of playing with a back three, have allegedly tried and failed with a late approach.
