Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Richard Stearman is reportedly closing in on a loan switch to Ipswich Town.
Tractor boys manager Mick McCarthy worked with the centre-back during his time as Molineux boss and is keen to be reunited with the 25-year-old.
Stearman has only made eight appearances this season, with Christophe Berra and Roger Johnson now an established partnership in the centre of the Wolves defence.
Ipswich have the third-worst defensive record in the Championship and McCarthy has targeted Stearman as the man to add some solidity to their back line, according to Sky Sports News.
