Sunderland have reportedly made an offer for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Steven Fletcher.
The 25-year-old, whose current contract expires in June 2014, scored 12 Premier League goals last season.
Wolves want £15m for Fletcher but the Black Cats have opened the bidding at £12m, according to the Daily Mail.
Fletcher was provisionally selected to represent Team GB at London 2012, however he was forced to pull out because of injury.
He arrived at Molinuex in June 2010 from Burnley for a fee of £3m.
