Sheffield United midfielder Kevin McDonald is the subject of interest from League One rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to reports.
Head coach Kenny Jackett had revealed on Thursday that he was hoping to strengthen his squad before the end of the summer transfer window.
According to the Express & Star, the Molineux outfit have made a bid of £750,000 to tempt Sheffield United into selling the Scot, who has just 12 months remaining on his contract at Bramall Lane.
The Blades are expected to rebuff the initial offer from Wolves, but Jackett could return with an increased bid.
