Miguel Veloso has reportedly emerged as a possible transfer target for both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton.
The Premier League transfer window has been shut since August 9, but top-flight clubs are still able to sign players who are available on a free transfer.
Portugal international Veloso is currently without a club after leaving Genoa, and according to TEAMtalk, Wolves and Everton are considering a bid for the 32-year-old.
Veloso is capable of playing as a defensive midfielder or down the left-hand side, and Wolves could be tempted into pushing through a deal having missed out on Manchester City's Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Everton are well-stocked in both positions, but Marco Silva may still be willing to increase competition for places at Goodison Park.
