Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly been turned down with a £15m bid for Bournemouth striker Benik Afobe.
The Midlands side are determined to sign a striker before tonight's 11pm transfer deadline and have been linked with the likes of Sheffield Wednesday's Jordan Rhodes, Preston North End's Jordan Hugill, Porto forward Tiquinho and PSV Eindhoven frontman Jurgen Locadia in recent days.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Wolves have now made an unsuccessful approach to re-sign Afobe, who left Molineux for the Cherries in a £10m deal in January 2016.
During his one-year stint with Wolves, Afobe was in lethal form and scored 22 goals in 46 Championship appearances as part of an acclaimed attacking partnership with Bakary Sako and Nouha Dicko.
The former Arsenal academy starlet has found his opportunities limited with Eddie Howe's side, however, and currently finds himself behind Joshua King and new arrival Jermain Defoe in the pecking order.
Afobe has scored 10 times in 45 Premier League appearances for the south coast side.
