Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy has reportedly emerged as a possible transfer target for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Championship winners are expected to be busy in the summer window and have already been linked with a big-money approach for Stoke City stopper Jack Butland.
However, according to The Mirror, McCarthy is also on the radar of the West Midlands outfit after his performances during the second half of the season.
The 28-year-old has dislodged Fraser Forster as number one at St Mary's with 15 appearances being made in the Premier League this season, but McCarthy has just over a year remaining on his contract.
Southampton are currently battling to remain in the top flight, and McCarthy is expected to wait until the club's status for the next campaign is confirmed before entertaining the possibility of extending his stay on the south coast.
