Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Kevin Doyle has signed a deal to join MLS side Colorado Rapids this summer.
The Irish forward has agreed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Rapids after international teammate Robbie Keane recommended the ex-Reading forward to head coach Pablo Mastroeni.
In a club statement, Mastroeni has suggested that Doyle can help the team realise its potential.
He said: "Kevin's track record speaks for itself. We are confident that he will add quality to the side with his own play but his intelligence, experience and professionalism will also bring the best out of others.
"As we continue to build for the future, Kevin will help us maximise our potential both on and off the field."
Doyle's current club maintained their push for promotion to the Premier League with a 2-0 victory over fellow high-flyers Derby County this evening.
