Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly decided to persist with their interest in Cardiff City striker Joe Mason.
Last month, reports emerged that Kenny Jackett was keen to add the 24-year-old to his striking department to complement Benik Afobe and Nouha Dicko.
It has been claimed that a first bid was rejected by the Bluebirds, but according to the Express & Star, Wolves have returned with a second offer although it is unlikely to meet the £3m valuation of the Welsh club.
Mason netted just five goals from 21 appearances last season, which were split between a loan spell with Bolton Wanderers and a return to his parent club during the final weeks of the campaign.
